What We Do

First and foremost, DC Saves encourages and assists individuals to save and build wealth.  We spread message and deliver services in three ways:

Public Awareness: Through mass media and grassroots efforts, we generate excitement about saving and create greater awareness of the negative impact that overspending and growing consumer debt have in our community.

Coordination: We bring together existing financial education and wealth-building programs and support the development of new ones.  Additionally, we provide an accessible gateway for people to find the tools and resources they need to be successful savers.

Products & Services: We encourage local financial institutions to participate in DC Saves by offering saver-friendly financial products and services through the campaign. We also provide access to free credit counseling and financial counseling services through a number of partners.
